Milwaukee Bucks Sign Guard Justin Robinson to A Two-Way Contract

The Milwaukee Bucks are almost done with their training camp roster by signing their final two-way contract player. The Athletic’s Shams Charania reports that the team signed Justin Robinson to a new deal. After the news was released, Robinson took to social media to express his gratitude for the opportunity.

This deals comes on the heels of Milwaukee’s recent signing of Tremont Waters to a training camp contract. Like Waters, Robinson has spent two years in the NBA without a lot of playing time. He went undrafted after four years at Virginia Tech and has only appeared in 18 total NBA games with the Washington Wizards and Oklahoma City Thunder.

Washington waived Robinson during the 2019–20 season and before signing two 10-day contracts with the Thunder, He was in the G League with the Sixers’ affiliate, the Delaware Blue Coats. With the Blue Coats, he averaged 14.4 points, 3.5 rebounds and 6.1 assists.

Robinson theoretically fills a need for the Bucks since they have only two point guards on the roster. However, he’s unlikely to see much playing time behind both Bucks’ point guards and secondary ball handlers like Grayson Allen and Donte DiVincenzo. Most likely he could end up as the Wisconsin Herd’s starting point guard with Milwaukee’s G League affiliate.

After this signing, the Bucks only have one remaining spot on their training camp roster, which begins in just a few weeks.
